Good Morning Patty
I have not spoke to you in a while. I just wanted to say hi and to tell you that the new diet is AWESOME. It has become a way of life already. I fell of the wagon 2 weeks ago at a wedding we attended. Food that was offered was what I thought I craved. I got a big plate of the food I used to love ( prime rib etc). After eating only a third of what was on my plate, my stomach warned me it didn't like what I was feeding myself. Long story short... I was sick the whole next day.
I have found I really like the foods I am now eating. The best news is I just hit the 30 pound mark today.
From 268 pounds to 238lb. Can't believe it!
I had been going to see my doctor for insomnia. Even taking heavy doses of meds to try to sleep. They didn't work. It was awful. The worst form of torture I have ever experienced. My energy was low I just felt terrible. Being a big guy (frame wise) I didn't feel I really looked or felt "over weight". I have weighed 250-255 since I was in my 20s. I have always been very active and pretty fit. I noticed when I turned 40 I started to loose muscle. I have always had very large biceps and forearms because of the repetitive work I do. I said to my wife one day "Look at my arms. There is no muscle left." Long story short, I now sleep better than I have for many years (almost scary because I sleep so sound). It's just awesome. I'm starting to regain my muscle mass now and feel good!
So many things where changing for the worst that I had no control over. I started to feel quite depressed. That has all turned around. I feel like a new person. Thank You!
I have started to tell my friends and family what the new me is all about. I recommend they call you in the fall.

In the fall of 2013, at the age of 53, I was overweight and feeling very poorly. Anyone who is overweight can appreciate the vicious cycle experienced daily. I was feeling listless and lazy and had no energy to do the simplest of tasks. I had low self-esteem, trouble sleeping and high blood pressure. Some special people convinced me to speak with Patty Baird about the CTUY program. Patty came to my home to explain the CTUY food & exercise plan. I was skeptical at first when Patty told me I would be eating six times a day and that would allow me to lose weight and feel better physically. The definition of a diet is “The kinds of food that a person habitually eats”. Keeping this definition in mind along with Patty’s motto of “eating food for fuel not for pleasure”, I needed to change what, when, and how much I was eating I put my trust in Patty, and made the commitment to dedicate myself to a new lifestyle.
Meeting with Patty was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I began the CTUY program and very quickly found out that the healthy food on the diet was great and I was not hungry. I admit at the beginning, that it was a bit of a task to get into the routine but soon the schedule of eating six smaller healthy food portions became second nature and was actually very satisfying. By introducing the cardio exercise portion of the plan along with Patty's CTUY class workouts 3 times a week, I was well on my way. The fitness classes were great! I very much enjoyed the hard work and the added boost it gave me with my energy level and weight loss. With the exception of a few classes, I was the only male participant in an almost exclusively female class setting (for that I would like to thank all the women who put up with me. LOL) I have made many new friends.
I would like to challenge men to join this program. These exercise classes are exhilarating and are great for both male and females. What proof do I have of this? I have completed two full 12 week segments with Patty and to-date have lost 80lbs. A message to all considering this program…..get out there and do it, you will not regret it.
I feel healthy, have my energy back, have lowered my blood pressure, and I have more confidence and self-esteem. I enjoy buying new clothes now for the first time in ages! I would like to finish by thanking Patty very much for the support and encouragement at the gym. A big thank-you to Patty for teaching me how to change my lifestyle. The food and exercise programs will remain a fixture in our lives. The CTUY program is simply the best…..a FIVE STAR RATING !

I just finished the CTUY 12 week program, and I can honestly say for the first time in a long time, I feel good about myself. I owe it all to Patty and her expertise.
When I reached the age of 50, I started to notice I was steadily gaining weight, and I was no longer seeing results from my workouts. (Not sure why it started at that age.) After several attempts at trying to gain control of the relentless change in my body, I was ready to throw in the towel and just chalk it up to age. The day I coincidentally met Patty, I didn’t know she would change my life! My husband and I went to The Kemptville Home and Lifestyle Show in April (2013) as my daughter and son-in-law were in the show as well. Their booth was set up right beside Patty. My friend Heather (who has done Patty’s program) told my daughter to say hello to Patty if she saw her. I asked my daughter if she did and her response was “No…. take a look at her, she’s kind of intimidating” (as my daughter was hiding a bag of potato chips). So, I walked over to Patty and said hello and told her I knew Heather. She introduced us to her husband and he was a wealth of knowledge about the human body and how it works. I was so impressed with him taking the time to educate my husband & I on the importance of water and nutrition, and more, that I asked Patty about her 12-week Program. At first, I was reluctant, as I do not live in the Prescott area. I took a brochure and decided that day I would do her program long distance.
My perpetual quest to “get healthy” officially started in October 2012. I decided out of nowhere that I would try running. Nothing was going right for 7 months and being the Google queen I am, I searched for every answer and finally realized I was burning my muscles and not burning fat. Brent quickly confirmed that for me. His one question flipped the switch and set the wheels in motion. He asked me if I know anyone (including myself) who faithfully goes to the gym for years, yet they always look the same? He told me I probably wasn’t eating enough and I thought he was crazy but he was right.
I started my 12-week Conquer the Unhealthy You Program on April 29. 2013. At first, I was overwhelmed by the information Patty provided. She told me that I would receive each week’s meal options every Friday morning at 6 am. Each Friday morning, I would sit at my computer before work and BINGO…..6 am email came right on time every time! She is so encouraging and helpful. I must have emailed her 100 times and she always replied in detail, the answers to my many questions. My first 4 week weigh in, I drove to Prescott to get my results. My friend, Heather, asked if I could be her guest at the gym that day. Well……immediately, I fell in love with the ARC Trainer and I signed up for a 3 month membership. I find it difficult to get there at times as I don’t live close to the gym, but I make it work because I am focused and committed.
Being organized is essential in following Patty’s Program. By choosing your meals and snacks in advance, you know exactly what you are having and it is so important to be prepared. Before Patty’s Program, I thought I ate somewhat healthy. I would waste more food by buying large quantities of fruits and vegetables. I threw out half of what I bought. Logging your meals/snacks on the tracking sheets also keeps you on track. I have learned that eating every 3 hours to the minute, will keep you satisfied and full. I am proud to say that I never cheated once and did not break any CTUY rules! J
Today, I finished the 12-week Program, however, I will continue this plan for life. The meal and snack options are simply wonderful, nutritional, healthy, and so tasty. Some days, I actually have a hard time choosing my options, as there are so many choices.
I always knew there was a science to losing weight and eating healthy, however, nothing ever worked. Patty definitely knows the science. You simply can’t go wrong with Patty’s Program and it is both a wise and affordable investment in your health. Patty gives you the tools to use for the rest of your life. She is as sweet and beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. I am going to miss her Friday early morning emails, but I know she is just a click away. I think she’s gonna go places! J If you are thinking of doing Patty’s Programs, DO IT!

All the time and effort you spent on me was summed up this weekend in my being able to put a big scratch on my bucket list.
It was something I’ve wanted to do for years and can honestly say I could not have done it without your help.
Of the 150 plus riders that started, less than 100 finished, but thanks to you, I did and finished a very respectable 6th in my class.
I’ve attached two pictures that I hope sum it up.The second picture is me crossing the the finish line.
